Proposte e ricerche is a semi-annual journal devoted to historical studies. Its publication is made possible through the financial support of Università Politecnica delle Marche and the Universities of Macerata and Perugia.

The Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR) has included Proposte e ricerche among the Class A journals in the field of Early Modern History (Area 11/A2).

The journal and the Quaderni di Proposte e ricerche are published and distributed on behalf of the Associazione Proposte e ricerche by EUM – Edizioni Università di Macerata.
